The Opportunity
We are working with a fast-growing Managing General Agent (MGA) in the London Market, looking to hire an Part-Time Broker Operations and Finance Assistant to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of our business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong operational and analytical skills who enjoys working across broker support, underwriting operations, finance processes, and account management within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with underwriting, finance, claims, and external broker partners to ensure smooth operational delivery and high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
Broker & Underwriting Support
* Act as a key point of contact for brokers, providing operational and administrative support
* Assist with onboarding new broker relationships and supporting ongoing account servicing
* Coordinate policy documentation, endorsements, and underwriting data requirements
* Ensure timely responses to broker queries and maintain service standards
Operational & Process Support
* Support the efficient running of underwriting operations, ensuring processes are followed accurately
* Assist with workflow improvements, process documentation, and operational controls
* Help monitor service performance and operational KPIs
* Liaise with internal teams and external partners to resolve operational issues
Finance & Accounting Support
* Support premium processing, bordereaux management, and reconciliation activities
* Assist with accounts receivable/payable processes and payment tracking
* Work with finance teams on month-end reporting and operational finance tasks
* Ensure accurate record-keeping across underwriting and finance systems
Account Management & Stakeholder Coordination
* Support account management activities across key broker and capacity provider relationships
* Assist with MI reporting and data analysis for portfolio performance
* Coordinate internal meetings, reporting requirements, and business updates
* Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the London Market
Skills & Experience Required
* Experience within the London insurance market, ideally in an MGA, broker, or carrier environment
* Strong understanding of underwriting operations and broker servicing
* Confidence working with premium processes, bordereaux, and reconciliations
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
* Proficiency in Excel and insurance systems (desirable)
* A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership in a growing business
