Scheme Manager - Young Persons Service (Homelessness) £30,437.50 a year Stoke-on-Trent Hours per week 37.5 Contract type Permanent You’ll manage the team at our 24/7 Young Persons Scheme. Ensuring that everyone has the right support, training and tools to work independently and confidently. You’ll make sure that customers receive the right support to maintain their tenancy and develop positive relationships with other customers and the community. The role is 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, however these working hours could include weekends and other shifts to meet the needs of the business. You will also be required to manage additional schemes at different times to cover sickness and annual leave. Job requirements * Oversee the day-to-day management of Concrete’s 24/7 young person’s accommodation service. This includes overseeing building management and building security. * Lead on the recruitment, selection and induction of new staff and make sure each member of staff is supported and trained with a clear understanding of their responsibilities. * Support and lead staff to ensure that a personalised, cost effective and high-quality housing management and support service is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. * Lead on referrals coming into the scheme. This may include working with external agencies through multi-agency panels. * Oversee regular house meetings with residents and staff, making sure that the voice of lived experience is acted on. * Work as part of the management team with other Scheme Managers and deputise on behalf of the Operations Manager (24/7 Schemes) where required. You’ll also participate in the management on-call rota. * Lead on financial and administrative duties, such as budget control and accurate record keeping. What we’re looking for * A degree level qualification, or equivalent experience. * Experience in housing management. * Experience of working on project delivery. * Chartered Institute Housing (CIH) member or willingness to work towards it. * Strong skills in self-awareness, self-management professionalism. * Strong business acumen and commercial awareness. * Excellent communication and negotiating skills. * Experience of people management and HR processes. * Experience of supporting financial processes including expense and invoice processing. * Process development and improvement. * Idea generation and implementation. * Able to support a culture of continuous improvement. * DBS check. * Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle for work.
