My clients are a manufacturer of door solutions, part of a group who are a premium worldwide brand for polymer-based innovations and systems in construction, automotive and furniture industry. We are now looking urgently for a Production/Assembly Operative Team Leader to join the very busy team. Fixed contract min 3 months.
Hourly wage is £15.19 plus a £1000 per month shift allowance. Hours are 30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 5pm to 11pm and then Fridays 1pm to 7pm. No deviation from this shift pattern.
Responsibilities include:
Supervising employees working on the assembly line, providing
clear instructions and constructive feedback where necessary to
ensure production timescales are met and quality standards are
adhered to;
Provide detailed instructions and guidance to ensure the shift runs
effeciently, monitoring for any potential disruptions and trouble
shooting, to ensure they are dealt with promptly;
Coaching new or less experienced colleagues to ensure they can
perform their role and adhere to the agreed processes and
procedures;
Provide insight and suggestions to the Site Manager on how to
improve the process to ensure peak productivity and efficiency;
The successful candidate will also have key holding responsibility.
Your Profile:
Previous experience in light production and hands on assembly work;
Previous experience fabrication would also be desirable;
Able to lead with empathy and in an approachable manner;
The ability to understand and deliver instructions, and further training
where necessary;
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
Ability to work on one’s own initiative and take ownership for
production whilst on shift with a basic understanding of production
flow with a quality focused mindset;
Good knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and regulations;
CNC experience is desirable;
A forklift licence would be an advantage, but not essential;
A solid understanding of production machinery and proper assembly
procedures would be an advantage, but not essential;
An ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
would be an advantage, but not essential
