Permanent role located in Kings Cross, London. Hours: Full Time - 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00. Pay: £60,000 per annum. Join Our Team as an Operations Manager. We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of a first-class estate and public realm security service. This role is responsible for the safety and protection of visitors, residents, tenants, and stakeholders across a vibrant, mixed-use environment. The Security Operations Manager will lead day-to-day operations—including uniformed patrols, control room activity, stakeholder engagement, and major event support—driving compliance, resilience, and outstanding customer service, safeguarding both people and place.
About The Role
As an Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities
* Lead the estate-wide security operation, ensuring safe, secure, and welcoming public realm and building environments.
* Oversee control room functions, patrols, building security teams, and canine services, maintaining effective coverage, response, and compliance with SOPs, risk assessments, and evolving security threats.
* Recruit, develop, and inspire a diverse team, driving a culture of safety, performance, and customer service excellence through rostering, training, coaching, and performance management.
* Build strong relationships with tenants, residents, retailers, community groups, and public authorities, representing the estate at key security and resilience forums.
* Provide security leadership for estate events and retail operations, balancing safety with positive customer experience, and act as a trusted advisor to the client on crime prevention, resilience planning, and legislative developments.
* Ensure estate readiness for major events and VVIP visits, including tailored risk assessments and resource planning.
What We Are Looking For
* Experience in managing large, mixed-use estate or public space security operations.
* Frontline SIA licence (Door Supervisor or higher).
* IOSH Managing Safely (minimum).
* Proven people leadership skills with experience managing multi-layered teams.
* Strong understanding of public realm risk management, crowd safety, and event security.
* Evidence of delivering preparedness against terrorism-related threats in line with ProtectUK/NPSA guidance.
* Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders, police, and emergency services.
