Nursery Practitioner Needed – South Shields

We’re currently looking for a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join a lovely nursery in South Shields. This is a great opportunity to work within a supportive team that puts children’s development and wellbeing at the heart of everything they do.
About the Role:
* Job Type: Temporary/supply with potential for longer-term placement
* Location: South Shields
* Setting: Private Day Nursery
* Hours: Flexible hours available (full-time or part-time, term-time or all year round)
Key Responsibilities:
* Support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS
* Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities
* Foster a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
* Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues
* Follow nursery safeguarding and health & safety procedures
* Promote children’s personal, social, and emotional development
Requirements:
* Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent)
* Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting
* Good understanding of the EYFS and child development
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
* Friendly, professional, and reliable approach
* Paediatric First Aid (desirable but not essential)
