Holme Grange is a co-educational school for pupils aged 2-16 and currently operates a four-form entry from Years 7-11. We have forward-thinking staff, and we are looking for someone to join us who is willing to contribute ideas and enthusiasm, to motivate and inspire, and to strive to provide the finest education, care and opportunity for our pupils.
We are seeking a science technician to work in a happy and supportive team with 8 science teachers who operate from 6 very well-resourced laboratories and the budget to invest in high quality equipment. Pupils thrive in our authentic, ambitious and inclusive learning community. They enjoy science, and are keen to learn. Our most recent GCSE results showed 56% Grade 9 and above in Chemistry and Physics.
The successful candidate will provide a high level of support to our science teachers, with the practical preparation of lessons, the maintenance of equipment and by taking responsibility for helping to provide a safe working environment.
A willingness to play a full part in the extra-curricular and pastoral life of our happy and vibrant school is essential. Holme Grange has its own salary scale.
