About the Role
A unique opportunity to join a wellness centre start-up at an early stage of its journey. This newly created role will take on full operational responsibility for a clinic in London, with direct accountability for P&L, team leadership, and client experience. We are looking for a business minded individual who will run the centre as their own.
Overseeing a team of 12 staff and manage budgets in the range of £1–3M. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, people-focused leader, capable of driving operational excellence, embedding compliance, and delivering strong financial results in a dynamic, customer-facing environment.
This is a pivotal role with the chance to make a significant impact in a business set for large-scale growth and integration of new clinics. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Wellness Advisers (RVN), Veterinary Physiotherapists specialising in small animals (ACPAT Cat A and/or RAMP), Canine Hydrotherapists, Groomers, Veterinary Behaviourists and Pain Management Clinicians.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day operations of a wellness clinic, ensuring outstanding customer and client experience.
* Deliver full P&L management, reporting into the Head of Operations.
* Oversee a multidisciplinary team of 10–12, ensuring recruitment, training, performance management, and engagement.
* Drive revenue and profitability through effective planning, business development, and client retention.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, risk management, and regulatory standards.
* Work closely with senior leadership to support business scale-up and integration plans.
* Implement operational processes and systems to support growth and efficiency.
Skills & Experience
* 2–3 years in a senior management or operational leadership role, ideally within healthcare, physiotherapy, veterinary, wellness, or similar customer-focused industries.
* Proven track record of P&L accountability
* Strong leadership skills, with experience managing 10+ direct reports.
* Commercially astute, with the ability to balance operational delivery with financial performance.
* Start-up or scale-up experience highly desirable.
* Proactive, solutions-driven, and adaptable in fast-changing environments.
