About The Role
We're looking for a Operations Dispatch Assistant to join our dispatch team, In this role you will support the day-to-day coordination and execution of operational logistics.
You'll be working with our dispatch team playing a critical role in maintaining service levels, optimising resource allocation, and supporting smooth operational flow.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
Following all Health, Safety and Environmental rules set out by Tropic
Following all Quality and Good Manufacturing Practice requirements set out by Tropic
Administrative tasks set out by your manager/supervisor when required
Following guidelines set out in the training provided
Dispatch
Working with stock management systems
Picking customer orders using barcode scanners and/or other methods
Packing customer orders using the stock management system and courier systems
Ensuring orders are picked and packed to the highest standard
Ensuring workstations are always tidy
Taking part in regular stock takes
Making eco-friendly choices when packing customers' orders
Helping to replenish picking shelves when needed
Identify inefficiencies in dispatch processes and suggest improvements
Additional
You will also be required to help in other departments during quiet periods.
What We're Looking For
Previously worked in a warehouse, logistics centre, or production facility
Has experience following safety procedures and completing compliance checklists
Aligns with environmentally conscious company values
Identified discrepancies and prevented losses
Comfortable working in fast-paced environments
What We Offer
Employment Type: This role is offered part-time, Saturday - Sunday, 7am to 5pm
Location: Tropic Dispatch is a short walk from Beddington Lane Tram stop, with direct links to East Croydon and Wimbledon.
Salary: £13.45 per hour
