Delighted to be working alongside a global organisation in Leeds who are looking to bring an Account Payable Manager to join the business on a 6-12 months basis. This is an excellent opportunity of an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join a thriving business to support them on a project based role. Responsibilities Management of the entire AP function covering UK and EMEA, reporting to Financial Controller, with dotted line to the US global center. Ensure that appropriate controls are in place through the P2P process, and that suitable reviews are in place to ensure payments are accurately made Perform reviews and identify gaps in the process, suggesting appropriate mitigating controls to be applied Contribute to the delivery of the controls improvement as driven by the Project Management team. Management of the two existing members of the AP team and the day-to-day AP process Apply payment verification as required by the banks Provide close support to the existing members of the team with their response to incoming queries from all levels within the group and from external sources Improve and develop reporting of key AP metrics Work closely with the group's US-based Treasury Director to develop the new global cashflow forecasting tool Support the EMEA Offices by answering queries regarding payments and maintaining service flow in the banking team Support the business with communications, especially where errors are identified and instruction must be given Present as appropriate at team meetings Key Skills, Attributes and Experience Proven track record of AP management over many years, in a variety of settings Strong communications skills (written and verbal), with demonstrable ability and confidence to communicate at all levels of the business, including with legal partners where appropriate Ability to work within a team and willingness to step in and cover work of junior AP team members when appropriate Professional approach to work with good attention to detail Strong knowledge of VAT (in both UK and across Europe) Strong computer skills - competent in MS Excel (VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, pivot tables etc) & Word If this role is of interest, please apply below
