The role To assist the Payroll team in ensuring the accuracy of all data entered into the Payroll System, including performing reconciliations, reviewing monthly reports, and processing data input. The successful candidate will also provide cross-functional support as needed, offering outstanding customer service to both employees and corporate clients, while adhering to ITV's policies, procedures, and HMRC regulations. Main responsibilities Data Processing and Employee Pay Record Maintenance and Payroll System Accuracy: Processing New Starters, Leavers, and Movers Processing Variable Pay Elements (e.g., Bonus, Overtime, Freelancer Contract Payments, VAT) Processing Salary Adjustments, Additional Responsibility Payments, Temporary Responsibility Payments Processing Family Leave Calculations Processing Secondments and Sabbaticals Processing Pension Calculations Processing Overpayment Recoveries and Retroactive Adjustments Processing Master Data Changes (e.g., Salary, Bank Details) Processing Off-System Payrolls Responding to employee queries via the Payroll Inbox, Fusion Helpdesk or telephone Additional Duties as required by the Payroll Manager or Business Needs Customer Service Responsibilities : Enhance ITV’s reputation for outstanding customer service through professional and courteous issue resolution, ensuring timely and accurate payments. Continuously improve customer service standards. Foster and maintain positive working relationships with other Global Finance Operations (GFO) teams and departments external to GFO. Deliver services in line with agreed controls and procedures. Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria) 5 GCSEs grades A – C including English and Maths (or equivalent). Experience working in a payroll team with high-volume payment processing In-depth understanding of payroll best practices, controls, and procedures Proven experience in customer-facing and processing roles Competent in basic Excel System experience, with Oracle Fusion knowledge is desirable but not essential Basic understanding of accounting practices Knowledge of current payroll legislation (HMRC, Data Protection, Employment Rights, etc) is desirable but not essential Knowledgeable in query management and resolution Familiarity with GDPR regulations Other things we’re looking for (key criteria) Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work flexibly Actively supports the principles of Equality and Diversity through best practices Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure or a heavy workload Effective relationship management with the wider business, HR colleagues, and Finance Teams Good planning and workload management abilities Excellent problem-solving skills Strong system knowledge and capabilities Ability to recommend process improvements Exceptional attention to detail High level of accuracy in data input Strong communication skills
