Job overview
We are seeking a new member of the team who has a passion for working with people and providing patient care in an office setting. Th is role is pivotal in providing an interface between the patient, surgeons and other inpatient departments & service s. The candidate will provide administr ative support to the Waiting List Coordinators and will be a point of contact for th e patients .

Number of hours per week: 37.5
Working days: Monday to Friday

Main duties of the job
* You will have daily contact via the telephone with patients, other departments within the Trust and external agencies
* You will support the management team and care groups to ensure performance standards are met.
* Candidates must have the ability to work in a demanding, ever changing and fast paced environment
* Candidates must have empathy when dealing with complex and sensitive information daily.
* Candidates must have the ability to work co-operatively in a team and adapt to change as required.
* Patient confidentiality and excellent customer care skills are essential.
* A high level of computer skills are essential and the post holder will be required to work on the Microsoft program Excel daily.

Working for our organisation
We operatefrom three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, andUlverstonCommunity Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies,daycase and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
