Food Technician (Full-Time)
Hours: 8:15 am – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Westminster
Are you passionate about supporting students in their learning and enjoy working in a practical, hands-on environment? This Academy is seeking a dedicated Food Technician with Learning Support Assistant (LSA) experience to join our team.
In this varied role, you will:
* Prepare and measure ingredients for food lessons.
* Support classroom health & safety, ensuring a safe and well-organised learning environment.
* Provide technical and practical support to teachers and students in food technology classes.
* Assist students during practical sessions, offering LSA-style support to enhance learning.
* Maintain equipment, resources, and hygiene standards in line with school policies.
About You
* Previous experience as a LSA or support assistant / Food Technician or in a similar support role (desirable).
* Background in a secondary school setting.
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
* An understanding of health & safety requirements in a food technology environment.
* A positive, supportive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
