Job overview

Provide expert system-level support and technical oversight across all Soft FM digital platforms, including CAFM,
Power BI, SharePoint and PowerApps. Lead the full system lifecycle, including configuration, testing, release and
review, ensuring strong governance, data integrity and security.

SoftFMservicesrelyonawiderangeofinterconnectedsystems,includingSynbiotix(CAFM), Power BI, SharePoint, and PowerApps platforms. However, the current support model is fragmented, limiting innovation, integration, and responsiveness.

Experience

Essential criteria

1. Significant experience managing and supporting operational or business systems.
2. Extensive experience delivering digital transformation and system integration projects.
3. Experience of managing data reporting, analytics, or performance tools such as Power BI.

Desirable criteria

4. Experience of managing CAFM systems or other FM-related digital platforms.
5. Experience of working within the NHS or large public-sector environment.

Skills

Essential criteria

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work autonomously.
7. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex datasets.
8. Confident communicator, able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences.
9. Able to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines in a complex organisation.

Desirable criteria

10. Skilled in SharePoint and PowerApp development or automation tools.

Knowledge

Essential criteria

11. Thorough understanding of system change control and data governance procedures.
12. Sound knowledge of digital security and information governance requirements.
13. Understanding of CAFM systems, Power Bl, and other analytical platforms.

Desirable criteria

14. Awareness of NHS Digital and interoperability standards.
15. Knowledge of data integration and automation principles.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

16. Educated to Master's level or equivalent experience in digital systems management or data analytics.
17. Foundation level qualification in ITIL or equivalent service management framework.
18. Proficient user of Microsoft 365, Power Bl, and data tools.

Desirable criteria

19. Formal project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 or Agile).
20. Advanced certification in ITIL or digital systems administration.
21. Training in data analytics, Power Platform, or CAFM systems.

Other

Essential criteria

22. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with ability to influence at all levels.
23. Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
24. Ability to travel across Trust sites as required.

Desirable criteria

25. Interest in emerging digital technologies and NHS digital transformation initiatives.
