Project Risk Engineer
Location: Remote with occasional visits to Bristol, Hinkley, Dungeness, Hunterston. Hours: 37.5 Monday to Thursday. Inside Ir35 – Umbrella/PAYE only. Duration: 6 months.
Responsibilities
* Providing risk expertise and advice on risk and contingency management (in accordance with procedures) to sites, projects and programmes.
* Facilitating risk management processes, including workshops across programmes & sites to identify, document and review quality risks.
* Developing the project/programme/site risk and assumption registers.
* Running Project Risk Analysis (PRA) software in conjunction with Primavera P6.
* Providing a Schedule Quantitative Risk Analysis (SQRA) service to the project/programme.
* Conducting risk identification and analysis, developing mitigation plans with relevant risk owners and risk managers to keep the Risk Register up to date.
* Ensuring risk management processes are effectively embedded into programme/site management arrangements.
* Complying with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, procedures, work instructions and risk assessments.
* Supporting the continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality on site.
* Supporting colleagues’ learning and development through knowledge sharing and task instruction.
* Assisting the Function Lead with risk-related design, delivery and evaluation of training; acting as coach and mentor.
* Ensuring regular review and update of the project risk register; facilitating reviews where necessary; analysing project risks and impacts; making recommendations.
* Actively monitoring progress with mitigation activities and feeding information into risk registers.
* Supporting the effective deployment of company-wide policies, processes, systems and procedures to maintain compliance; including compliance with the company’s Equality Policy and associated learning and development activities.
* Accountable to the project manager for service delivery and to the Functional Lead for standards.
* Providing knowledge transfer and training and development of Magnox staff from the contract.
* Performing any additional duties defined by the relevant Function Lead.
Qualifications & Experience
* Significant experience within a relevant project environment.
* Comprehensive knowledge of standard project control techniques.
* Good knowledge of risk management systems (e.g., ARM / Pertmaster).
* Numerical background and familiarity with EVA methodology.
* Familiarity with relevant Health & Safety legislation.
