Aneurin Bevan University Health Board supports flexible working.

There is a temporary top-up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the living wage of £12.60 per hour - £24,638 per annum. This will be in place until the 2025/26 pay uplift is confirmed.

Job overview

The Department of Clinical Radiology seeks an experienced radiologist with expertise in GI/GU imaging, possessing broad experience in General Radiology with a focus on the specified subspecialty. We seek enthusiastic, dynamic radiologists eager to join a fast-paced, exciting environment.


Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities include:

1. Providing first-class clinical service
2. Offering effective leadership to all staff in the specialty
3. Sustaining and developing teaching and research activities
4. Adhering to the Health Board’s procedures and policies
5. Conducting clinical practice in line with contractual and service plans
6. Supporting business plans and development strategies for the specialty, Medical Division, or Health Board

This position involves regulated activity with adults, as defined by the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act, including checks such as enhanced barred list checks.

Applicants must hold full GMC registration and a license to practice. Candidates must be on the GMC Specialist Register or have a CCT/CESR(CP) within 6 months of interview.


Person specification

Non-UK/ROI applicants require sponsorship via a Health and Care visa or Skilled Worker visa. Self-assessment for sponsorship eligibility is recommended. Application costs are lower if applying through the Health & Care visa, which also exempts the Immigration Health Surcharge.
