Working Mechanical Supervisor

Due to continued growth, WES, part of the RSE Group, is looking for a Working Mechanical Supervisor to assist with the successful delivery of installation projects within the water industry. The primary function of the role is to oversee manpower on site, order materials, manage on‑site works while working hands on and assisting with installation projects.
Please note that the role requires travel and working away from home; accommodation will be provided by WES.
Key Duties
* Installation of new and existing mechanical equipment including kiosks and plastic pipework.
* Inspect equipment and identify faulty components.
* Carry out testing and pre‑commissioning of equipment on site.
* Instruct, direct, control and allocate work to trade operatives & apprentices.
* Deliver toolbox talks and review permits, safety requirements and RAMS.
* Oversee mechanical works to ensure they are carried out to timescales and to the required standard/quality.
* Provide the Installation Manager with progress reports and future resource requirements.
Qualifications
* NVQ or apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, Pipefitting or equivalent.
* Proven mechanical installation experience specifically working with plastics.
* Good knowledge of quality, environmental and health & safety processes/procedures.
* SSSTS.
* Water industry experience would be highly advantageous but other industries will also be considered.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with, lead and motivate teams of apprentices and operatives under your supervision.
* Full UK driving licence.
