Job Description
Reporting into the Managing Director, the new Operations Director will be responsible for all chemical and manufacturing activities on site, including maintaining best in class processes and standards around chemical production. They will look after a team of c. 90 people in safety, production, engineering, process management and continuous improvement.
Knowledge and Experience
The Operations Director will ideally possess extensive experience associated in working with chemical processing. Other process industries and manufacturing environments will be considered for the right leader. Your experience could include:
* Chemical engineering, process engineering or a manufacturing/engineering management background.
* Demonstrable track record of successful operations management and improvement in a large-scale production facility.
* High standards of personal presentation including verbal and written communication and complete transparency in all interactions.
* Ability to juggle multiple priorities combined with the resilience to manage expectations in a challenging environment and cope under pressure, working to tight deadlines.
* Results-driven attitude with rigorous accountability for achieving high levels of individual and company performance.
* Emotionally intelligent and engaging, socially adept and able to challenge where necessary to secure the commitment of the team.
* Degree qualified in a relevant subject or qualified by experience.
