What we need from you:
1. Qualifications
- Degree - usually a Bachelor's degree in education or a relevant subject.
- Teaching Qualification - e.g., PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in England.
2. Professional Checks
- DBS Check - a current Disclosure and Barring Service check for working with children that is on the update service (if needed we can pop once in place for you!).
- References - at least two professional reference from the last 2 places of employment
3. Experience & Skills
- Classroom experience - experience teaching or supporting in a classroom environment.
- Subject knowledge - knowledge of the subject(s) you are teaching.
- Adaptability - especially important for supply teachers to work in different schools and with varying student groups.
4. Legal & Administrative Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
5. Personal Attributes
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience.
- Flexibility to cover different classes, year groups, or subjects.
- Professionalism and reliability.
