Job Overview
Join YMCA Humber and Make a Real Difference in Young Lives
At YMCA Humber, we are looking for a passionate and driven individual to join our dynamic team, delivering high-quality, structured sports and youth work sessions within our vibrant Youth Club. This is your opportunity to inspire and motivate young people aged 5–18, while helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where they can thrive.
You will help plan and deliver engaging physical activity programmes and skill-based coaching tailored to different ages and abilities. Through sport, you will promote teamwork, resilience, discipline, and respect, ensuring sessions are inclusive, adaptable, and accessible to young people from all backgrounds. A recognised qualification at Level 2 or above in Youth Work, Sports / Football Association Coaching, or Physical Education is essential, alongside First Aid and safeguarding training.
You will bring knowledge of child development and behaviour management, with experience of working with children and young people in community or youth settings. Additional training in areas such as mental health awareness, inclusion, or mentoring would be an advantage. Beyond the youth club, you will build meaningful relationships within the community, using sport and physical activity as a powerful tool to engage young people who may be vulnerable or at risk.
Through mentoring and creative programmes, you will help them build confidence, overcome challenges, and develop the skills they need to succeed. Working as part of a dedicated and collaborative team, you will contribute to programme planning, safeguarding, risk assessments, and continuous improvement to ensure high-quality delivery at all times. If you are ready to empower, inspire, and make a lasting impact, we would love to hear from you. Join YMCA Humber and help young people reach their full potential.
