Job Title: Fabricator/Welder
Job Type: Full-time, Temp Permanent
Schedule:Day shift - Monday to Friday
Pay: £15.50 - £16.50 per hour (negotiated on experience/skills)
Location: Wakefield (WF5)
Additional pay:Yearly bonus

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our clients dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in various welding techniques, including TIG and MIG welding. This role involves assembling and fabricating metal components to meet precise specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components using hand tools and power tools.
Perform welding tasks, primarily using stick welding techniques, to join metal parts securely.
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine project requirements and specifications.
Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards and client expectations.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Utilise basic maths skills to measure, cut, and shape materials accurately.
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.
Qualifications
Proven experience in fabrication and welding, with a strong understanding of sheet metal work.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the fabrication process.
Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
A valid welding certification is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn and have a positive can-do attitude is essential.
