The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours / sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.
Hourly rate of pay: £14.85 - £15.91
Temporary until 31st December 2024.
This is a 39-week sessional post i.e. working hours will be during school term time plus in-service days.
Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Thursday, 08:30-15:30

An opportunity has arisen for a school Business Support Administrator to lead the administrative function at Athelstaneford Primary School which encompasses a wide variety of tasks and a high standard of customer service for all our school community and stakeholders. The role requires excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel to support the financial monitoring and reporting required to assist the Head Teacher to manage the school budget effectively. Applications from experienced administrators who can demonstrate they are confident using spreadsheets to track financial transactions and with some HR or school experience would be welcomed.
We are seeking a well organised person that is able to multi-task and use their initiative under pressure to meet deadlines. If you are well organised and can multi-task whilst being able to organise others; feel you are capable of using your initiative under pressure to meet deadlines and can deal with people on all levels.
This is a varied and rewarding role, being part of a small nurturing school and the local community. As Business Support Officer you will be required to run and oversee all the day to day office and administrative tasks. Applicants should have experience of working in an office environment and be organised and flexible with a calm, personable and approachable manner.

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to HNC/SVQ3 in Administration or Information Management or equivalent and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
