The Role
As a Lead Repair Engineer, you will read drawings and interpret diagrams of complex engine parts. In this role, you will produce clear graphics using various software to provide the necessary and sufficient information.
Key responsibilities:
* Experience in substantiation of repairs depending on various factors to meet regulatory requirements.
* Awareness of airworthiness regulatory and flight safety requirements.
* Knowledge of the various alloys and materials used in the manufacture of engine hardware.
* Willingness to work in flexible schedules depending on customer needs across different time zones.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
* Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering.
* Good understanding of the construction and functioning of aircraft engines, including various parts and their functions.
* Knowledge of repair processes involved in restoring damaged engine components.
* Ability to sequence operations during repair processes.
* Experience in a commercial/military aircraft engine MRO shop or repair development engineering on aircraft engine parts.
* Ability to make engineering judgments based on limited data.
