As the demand for our expertise continues to grow, we have an exciting opportunity for an Associate to join our experienced MEP team based at our offices in Reading, Theale.
You will demonstrate extensive experience of working in a design capacity with good working knowledge of building services installations. Working as part of a team, you will be confident dealing with clients and leading MEP project work. You will be expected to manage your own project teams, delivering design work to the required standards while providing excellent levels of client service.

Responsibilities
* Lead MEP engineering teams delivering a range of project work
* Manage risk within MEP engineering projects; have good working knowledge of MEP scope/appointments and excellent commercial acumen
* Act as the lead engineer in a design team being responsible for electrical building services concept and detailed design
* Supervise and monitor the work of others in this function
* Mentor and develop junior engineers
* Produce reports, drawings and specifications to suit various RIBA design stages
* Use specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software and other resources to design the systems required for the project
* Liaise closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in‑house and external project teams
* Attend a range of project group and technical meetings
* Ensure that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements
Qualifications
* Excellent project management skills
* Ability to foster long term productive working relationships
* Significant experience within an electrical building services design role from either a consultant or contractor background
* Having an accredited relevant degree or higher educational qualification in an applicable discipline (HNC/HND)
* Have achieved or be working towards IEng or CEng status
* Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a close-knit team towards a shared goal
* Attention to detail and a strong desire to deliver high standards of client care
