Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Critical Environment?? Location: CV1 ??ASAP - 6 months
Hays is working with a leading facilities management provider to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a critical site in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team supporting essential infrastructure in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.
Role Overview
* You'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and fault rectification of plant and equipment across the site. This includes:
* Responding to breakdowns within SLA timeframes
* Working with UPS, CPS, power distribution, cooling systems, and other critical infrastructure
* Supporting emergency response and call-out protocols
* Escalating urgent issues to the Technical Services Manager
* Maintaining accurate engineering documentation and compliance records
* Conducting site surveys and producing method statements and risk assessments
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* 17th/18th Edition Qualified
* Experience in Facilities Management (FM)
* Strong understanding of CDM regulations
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Proven ability to manage tasks and materials independently
* Familiarity with H&S procedures including COSHH, Working at Heights (ipaf. pasma)
* Risk Assessment - IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualified - or CSCS
* Skilled in testing and inspecting electrical systems - JIB gold card, 2391 equivalent
* Knowledge of emergency response and environmental monitoring protocol
* Desirable
* Experience in data centre or critical environment operations
