42.5 hours per week (8-5 Monday- Friday)
We’re looking for an experienced and dependable Plumber to join our expanding team, supporting a busy responsive repairs contract in Brighton. This is a practical, hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of plumbing repairs and maintenance tasks in occupied social housing properties.
From fixing leaks and replacing taps to diagnosing more complex issues with heating systems or drainage, you’ll be the go-to expert for keeping homes safe, functional, and comfortable. You’ll be working directly with residents, so a professional approach and strong customer service skills are essential.

Duties:
Carry out responsive plumbing repairs in occupied propertiesDiagnose and repair leaks, blockages, and drainage issuesReplace taps, toilets, cisterns, basins, and other sanitary wareRepair or replace pipework, valves, and fittingsInvestigate and resolve issues with hot water systems and radiatorsEnsure all work complies with current plumbing regulations and health and safety standardsRecord job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheetsRemove, repair, or replace bath panels as part of routine plumbing maintenance or to access pipework for leak detection and repair, ensuring panels are securely refitted and finished to a professional standardMaintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working orderWork respectfully in residents’ homes, maintaining a clean and safe environmentIdentify and report any additional works, safeguarding concerns, or property issuesParticipate in the out-of-hours emergency rota when requiredAdhere to all health and safety policies and proceduresProvided high levels of customer care at all timesRole Criteria:
Proven experience in domestic repairs and maintenance in a plumbing positionExperience in Carpentry repairs and maintenanceFull UK driving licenceAbility to work independently and manage workload effectivelyStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsExcellent customer service skills, with experience working in occupied homesGood understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practicesAbility to use handheld devices or job management systems to record workWillingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency rotaBenefits we can offer you.
