About the Role
:
We're looking for a proactive and experienced Water Qualified Supervisor to join our team in Maidstone.
In this vital role, you'll be responsible for overseeing, guiding, and supporting all water operations, operatives, and contractors working across Mears and client sites. Your primary focus will be ensuring that all water installations are safe, fully compliant, and pose no risk to building users, the public, our clients, or Mears employees.
This is a hands-on position, with around 50% of your time spent actively on-site and the other half working alongside and mentoring operatives. You'll be directly managing a small but skilled team of two water technicians.
Your day-to-day will include:
1. Carrying out quality control checks on-site
2. Updating and maintaining training schedules
3. Collaborating closely with the Compliance Manager
4. Writing detailed audit reports based on your findings
5. Travelling quarterly to either Bristol or Cambridge to conduct audits
Role Criteria:
6. Competence in Water Management
7. Have extensive hands-on experience in water hygiene and plumbing industry
8. L8 ACOP /HSG 274 experience and training
9. City and Guilds BS standard qualifications in water management, risk assessment, reasonable persons
10. Flexible to travel and happy to stay away from home where required

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
