JIG & Tool Design Engineer
The Role
To assist in the design and development of reliable, accurate and cost-effective Jigs, Fixtures, Tool and Rigs used in the manufacture of current and new products. This includes design of press tools, mould tools, welding fixtures, machine work holding fixtures and pressure test rigs. This role takes responsibility for the implementation of new JFT from concept design through to production.

Main Responsibilities
• To ensure jigs, tools, test rigs and fixtures (JFTR) are accurate and conform to the
required design codes. (The lifting operations and lifting equipment regulations and pressure equipment regulations).
• To take responsibility for a new JFTR implementation from concept design through to production release in all working areas, assembly, welding, machine shop, press shop, foundry etc.
• To produce detailed drawings of JFTR, and publish to company intranet.
• To develop knowledge of the company’s products and their current work holding methods.
• To innovate JFTR with the use of new work holding technologies when and where appropriate.
• Expedite the use of preliminary issue design data (DFMPR) in the design and manufacture of jigs and tools.
JIG & Tool Design Engineer
The Candidate
• Must be a time served engineer, ideally with a HNC.
• Ideally have experience with Creo design package.
• Must have experience designing mould tools, JIGs and Fixtures.
