Description Remarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the world Wood is currently recruiting a Training & Competence Administrator to join the Operations team based in our Lowestoft Office for a duration of 12 months, maternity cover. Hybrid working arrangements available, weighted in favour of office based in the early stages to ensure candidates are supported, training and made to feel part of the team. The Role: To support the management and delivery of Training and Competence services across the business ensuring our workforce have the skills and competencies required to do their job safely. Our current portfolio includes green hydrogen and fuel switching, as well as supporting local clients with energy transition. Additionally, we work on UK refineries, petrochemical facilities, fine chemicals and pharmaceutical facilities. We have a number of clients who we are working with to design their pilot plants to test exciting new technologies, with a view to partnering with them as they move to design and build full scale commercial facilities. Responsibilities People: Interface internally with Contract Teams, functions, competence assurance team and client stakeholders within the business on training, competence, team activities/progress Accountable in conjunction with the company’s training management service provider (TMS) in the delivery and monitoring of mandatory technical and safety training courses and certification Process Ownership: Assist the progress of training compliance, renewal of expiring certification and achievement of KPI in conjunction with the training management service provider (TMS) Assisting T&C Advisor with ensuring the workforce has the correct training and certification as mandated by statute, client, or internal standards to carry out their role safely. Support T&C advisor in change initiatives Responsible for Matrix compliance management, monitoring and course deviations. Accountable for Training Management Systems - training records data entry and matrix management Focal point for commercial, payroll and account enquiries Support the implementation of revised training and competence frameworks Running weekly data checks on gaps, expiries and deviations ensuring the training management service provider (TMS) are adhering to Wood policy and procedures Running weekly data checks on pre-employment gaps and expiries ensuring adherence to Wood policy and procedures General: Co-ordination of in-house training requirements as directed by the business Participate in standalone projects as required Support internal and external audits Responsible for efficient response times to Skillspool and individual mailboxes, Oracle Recuit and Everything People queries Proactive ownership of data stored in various systems within business area Qualifications What makes you remarkable? Minimum Qualifications: Secondary Standard grade/higher or equivalent experience Preferably requires training and competence experience in a highly regulated process industry Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word and Outlook Good written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate information to a range of audiences and stakeholders. Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, to work collaboratively to achieve objectives. Ability to manage a high volume of work and prioritise Strong ability to work flexibly - managing changing and competing priorities and absorbing new information rapidly to address issues Clear understanding of technical disciplines and associated competencies Ability to analyses data and provide recommendations on findings Ability to analyse data and provide recommendations of findings Professional demeanour, interpersonal skills.
