General Builder / Site Manager – HMO Conversions
We are a growing property company specialising in HMO conversions across the Northwest. We are looking for an experienced General Builder to take the lead on our projects. You will be responsible for both hands-on building work and managing a team of trades to deliver high-quality HMO refurbishments.
Role Responsibilities
* Carry out core building work on HMO conversion projects.
* Build out and manage a reliable team of subcontractors (plasterers, joiners, tilers, decorators, etc).
* Manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring works run on time and to standard.
* Order and manage materials where required.
* Coordinate with specialist trades such as electricians, plumbers, and fire alarm installers.
* Ensure all works comply with building regulations and HMO standards.
* Report progress and issues directly to company directors.
Requirements
* Proven experience in residential refurbishments, ideally HMOs or similar multi-room projects.
* Strong practical skills in general building (structural, studwork, plastering, etc).
* Experience managing subcontractors and site operations.
* Good understanding of health and safety and building compliance.
* Ability to work to timelines and budgets.
* Own tools and transport.

Pay: £28,978.15-£52,351.06 per year
