Restaurant Supervisor
Parlour Café & Restaurant – Canterbury Chartham Garden Centre
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Parlour Café & Restaurant, based within Canterbury Chartham Garden Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a hands-on approach to customer service.
Key Responsibilities
As Restaurant Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the daily operation of the café and restaurant, ensuring excellent service standards and efficient management. Your duties will include:
Team Leadership & Supervision
* Lead, motivate, and support the front-of-house team during service.
* Organise staff rotas and delegate tasks effectively.
* Assist with staff training, coaching, and performance development.
Customer Service Excellence
* Deliver a welcoming and professional service to all guests.
* Resolve customer queries and complaints promptly and appropriately.
* Monitor service levels to maintain high standards at all times.
Operational Support
* Oversee opening and closing procedures.
* Manage stock control, ordering, and deliveries.
* Ensure smooth service between front-of-house and kitchen teams.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in line with regulations.
Financial & Administrative Duties
* Support with cash handling, till reconciliation, and banking procedures.
* Assist with monitoring sales performance and identifying opportunities to maximise revenue.
* Help manage costs effectively and minimise waste.
Collaboration
* Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service.
* Communicate regularly with management regarding performance and operational matters.
* Contribute to a positive and professional working environment.
About You
* Previous supervisory or team leader experience within hospitality.
* Strong people management and communication skills.
* A proactive, customer-focused approach.
* Organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

Hours: Full-time, including weekends on a rota
