Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Educational Progress (SENCO) to provide strategic leadership for SEND across our Prep and Pre-Prep. This full-time role offers the opportunity to shape inclusive practice through a strong classroom presence, early identification and effective intervention, ensuring that every pupil is supported to achieve their potential. Working closely with senior leaders, staff, parents and external agencies, the successful candidate will drive high-quality adaptive teaching, oversee provision across key transition points and promote a culture where inclusive practice is embedded across the school.


Responsibilities

* Involve in aspects of day-to-day operation of specialist provision made by the school for all pupils with identified SEND needs.
* Work with the Head of Pre-Prep, Deputy Head Academic and the wider Senior Management Team to develop strategic guidance that shapes high-quality teaching and pastoral care and the effective use of resources to ensure outstanding outcomes for all students who have identified SEND.
* Provide strategic leadership for SEND across the Prep and Pre-Prep, focusing on early identification, intervention and inclusive practice.
* Drive high-quality adaptive teaching and oversee provision across key transition points to support pupils with identified needs.


Qualifications and Requirements

* Relevant qualifications with a genuine passion for inclusive adaptive teaching and demonstrable experience within SEND provision.
* Team player with a positive “can do” attitude, flexible approach and excellent interpersonal skills.
* Previous experience within an educational setting is advantageous but not essential.
