Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned hotel with golf, nestled in a picturesque village between York and Harrogate. Set in 200 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxury hotel offers a complete escape for both business and leisure guests and is a popular venue for weddings.
Over the last few years, the hotel has undergone major renovations in the bedrooms, restaurant, residents lounge, sports bar, and all public areas. This year, we will start our new spa, state-of-the-art leisure areas, new meeting rooms, and additional 24 bedrooms. The leisure facilities, including the spa, bedrooms, and meeting space, are opening in 2026.

Main duties and purpose of the role:
As a Bunkers F&B Assistant, you are responsible for helping your department deliver an excellent guest and team member experience, in accordance with the Aldwark Manor Estate Service Standards. The working hours will be between 7am and midnight, working 5 days per week, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
F&B Assistants need food service and waiting skills, alongside excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate well with guests. They also need excellent knowledge of food preparation and hygiene standards, as well as the ability to work well as part of a team. A successful candidate will typically have:
* Experience working in a restaurant, bar, or retail environment
* Ability to work in different areas of Food and Beverage, including breakfast, bar, restaurant, conference, and events
* Excellent communication skills with a passion for guest service
* The ability to complete all tasks in a timely and efficient manner
* Ensure compliance with brand standards
* Manage guest queries and complaints promptly
* Assist Bunkers Manager in achieving financial targets
* Carry out cleaning duties with awareness of safety and security policies, ensuring relevant records are completed daily
* Record wastage and breakages correctly and assist with stock ordering as required
* Ensure the Golf Shop operates effectively in the absence of the Golf Shop Assistant or Head of Golf
