and main responsibilities
·The post holder must maintain a high degree of confidentiality in all aspects of service delivery and patient information in accordance with Trust policies and procedures and compliance with the Data Protection Act.
·The post holder must have excellent Excel skills, accurate and fast data input and above average keyboard and word processing skills to complete the rota each week.
·Twice daily walk arounds encompassing all outpatient reception and office areas.
·Liaise and build mutually beneficial relationships with services, nursing teams and other stakeholders.
·To act within defined departmental standard operating procedures
·Have a flexible and responsive approach to the varying demands of the post.
·To work in an efficient, effective, and timely manner and be adaptable to change.
·To follow agreed protocols and policies seeking advice where appropriate.
·To contribute to the care, maintenance, security, cleanliness and tidiness of Departmental equipment and office settings and safe work environments in accordance with local and Trust Health and Safety policies.
·To demonstrate a positive attitude to the management and work of the Department and our service users.
·Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade as agreed and delegated by the Service Manager and Staff Development Manager.
·Work with the Service Manager and Staff Development Manager to carry out appraisals and help with the continuous professional development of junior staff.
·To support the Service Manager and Staff Development Manager in developing a responsive, patient focused service
·To facilitate improvements in quality of care using lessons learned from adverse incidents and patient complaints.
·To provide an effective, caring, high quality service within a pressurised environment
·To roster all staff within the team ensuring all services are adequately covered and that bank and agency costs are kept to a minimum.
·To work with the management team to improve, develop and innovate admin processes.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Educated to GCSE Level (or Equivalent) in English and Maths or to NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience
