Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, with experience in food production and a keen eye for detail. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation, and leading the kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and managing staff.
* Supervise and train kitchen personnel, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu.
* Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and menu items.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, following health and safety regulations.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and presented attractively.
* Handle any customer inquiries or complaints regarding food quality or service.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment.
* Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising staff.
* Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service.
* Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are preferred but not essential.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.25-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
