Specialist Business Support Officer
36 hours / fixed term contract until June 2027
About the Role:
* Provide high‑quality administrative support with a particular focus on accurate and timely minute‑taking for a range of safeguarding meetings.
* Act as the main telephone point of contact, liaising with professionals, outside agencies and the public.
* Attend and minute safeguarding meetings at various locations across the borough; prepare and distribute agendas, minutes and supporting documentation.
* Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all records and communications, coordinate meeting logistics, maintain up‑to‑date records and follow up on agreed actions.
About the Candidate:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to record information accurately.
* Proven experience and proficiency in minute‑taking.
* Resilient and compassionate; able to deal with difficult situations with understanding.
* Strong proficiency in IT applications including Microsoft Office with good keyboard skills.
* Flexible approach, ability to build effective working relationships, work as part of a team, be organised and understand the importance of confidentiality.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
Eligibility to work in the UK will be verified in the final stages of the selection process. All candidates must either already have a right to work in the UK before commencing employment or meet the Home Office criteria for visa sponsorship.
