About the Role
MPJ Recruitment are supporting a respected and expanding commercial insurance brokerage in their search for an experienced Commercial Account Handler. This role is ideal for someone who is Acturis trained and confident managing a varied commercial portfolio while delivering exceptional client service.
You'll work closely with Account Executives/Directors, handling new business, renewals and mid‑term adjustments, while ensuring clients receive a smooth, professional and proactive service.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle and broker commercial insurance enquiries including new business, MTAs and renewals.
* Prepare high‑quality market submissions and supporting documentation.
* Work alongside Account Executives/Directors to help achieve new business and renewal targets.
* Secure competitive renewal terms and complete all associated documentation and system updates.
* Support Account Executives/Directors with prospect pipeline management and research.
* Prepare Renewal Review reports, including claims experience summaries.
* Manage incoming client, insurer and third‑party enquiries professionally and efficiently.
* Maintain an organised diary system including debt management, accounts queries, chasing documentation and renewal terms.

Requirements
* Minimum 5 years' commercial insurance broking experience.
* Acturis experience is essential.
* Confident handling quotations, renewals and MTAs across a range of commercial policies.
* Strong understanding of commercial insurance markets, products, wordings and placement options.
* Excellent communication, organisation and client‑handling skills.
