A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Coventry is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join its creative and forward-thinking Performing Arts Department. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about inspiring a love of music in young people. The Role The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inclusive Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. The role includes: Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in performance, composition, and music theory. Teaching a broad and balanced curriculum, including classical, contemporary, and world music. Supporting students in developing instrumental, vocal, and ensemble skills. Preparing students for GCSE and/or A-Level Music examinations where applicable. Organising and supporting concerts, performances, and extracurricular music activities. Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress. Candidate Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong subject knowledge in Music. Ability to teach both practical and theoretical elements of the curriculum. Competence in leading vocal and/or instrumental ensembles. Strong classroom management and organisational skills. A passion for promoting creativity and student participation. Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
