Audit Assistant Manager – Top 20 Firm
Location: Central London (Hybrid Working)
Salary: Up to £58,000 + Bonus
The Opportunity
Simpson Jude are working with a Top 20 accountancy firm with a strong reputation for quality, collaboration, and career development. The London Audit team is growing and seeking an ambitious Assistant Manager to join their supportive and forward-thinking practice.
This role offers the chance to work with a diverse portfolio of clients – from entrepreneurial SME and owner-managed businesses to mid-market, large listed, and international groups across a variety of sectors including manufacturing, aviation, retail, technology, and professional services.
You’ll gain genuine client exposure, work closely with Partners, and develop your leadership skills in a dynamic environment that values both technical excellence and individuality.
The Role
* Lead and manage audit assignments from planning to completion, ensuring delivery of high-quality work and client satisfaction.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted adviser throughout the audit process.
* Supervise, coach, and review the work of junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
* Assist senior managers and partners with business development and internal projects.
* Work closely with stakeholders across the wider business, contributing to a connected and supportive working environment.
About You
* ACA, ACCA, or CA qualified (or finalist) with recent experience in UK audit.
* Strong technical understanding of FRS 102 and UK GAAP.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills with a proactive, client-focused mindset.
* Experience managing audits across a variety of sectors, ideally including SMEs, OMBs, and mid-market clients.
* A team player who enjoys mentoring others and contributing to a positive team culture.
