An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Credit Controller to join our client in Southampton. This role requires a detail-oriented individual to support the Accounting & Finance department with credit control tasks.

Description
* Monitor and manage outstanding debts to ensure timely payments.
* Communicate with clients to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment queries.
* Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities.
* Support the Accounting & Finance department with monthly reporting tasks.
* Prepare and send reminder letters or statements as needed.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth credit operations.
* Assist in setting up new client accounts and credit checks.
* Provide administrative support to the credit control function.
Profile
A successful Assistant Credit Controller should have:
* Previous experience in a credit control or accounting support role.
* Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and task management.
* The ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
