As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards across manufacturing operations. You’ll work closely with production, engineering, and inspection teams to ensure products meet both internal and customer expectations.
The Quality Engineer role will involve:
Developing, maintaining, and improving quality control systems across manufacturing
Leading inspection and quality assurance activities on precision-engineered components
Investigating non-conformances, carrying out root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions
Working closely with engineering and production to embed quality into processes, not inspect it in at the end
Reviewing and improving inspection methods, procedures, and documentation
Supporting supplier quality activities, including issue resolution and ongoing improvement
Assisting with internal audits and ISO quality compliance
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across quality and manufacturing
What we’re looking for in a Quality Engineer:
Essential
Experience in a Quality Engineer, Quality Control, or Quality Assurance role within manufacturing
Strong understanding of inspection techniques and measurement equipment
Knowledge of quality tools, including root cause analysis and corrective action processes
Excellent attention to detail and a structured, methodical approachDesirable
Experience within precision engineering, machining, or transmission components
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality standards
Confidence working with technical drawings and engineering documentationThis Quality Engineer role would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, visible on the shop floor, and actively involved in improving quality rather than policing it.
