A Senior Document Controller opening is available, working for a consultancy in Stoke-on-Trent, hybrid, paying up to £65,000 + benefits.
The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Document Controller to support major infrastructure and engineering projects within a digital delivery environment. You’ll take a lead role in document control operations, ensuring information accuracy, compliance, and consistency across internal teams and the supply chain.
This is a hands-on position with responsibility for EDMS management, audit compliance, and mentoring other document controllers.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as Lead Document Controller across multiple projects
* Manage EDMS platforms, including contractor submissions and approval workflows
* Maintain document accuracy, version control, and compliance with client standards
* Carry out regular audits and quality checks
* Standardise document control processes and procedures
* Lead, mentor, and support document control team members
* Improve information flow between contractors, project teams, and systems
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Document Controller in construction, engineering, or infrastructure
* Experience leading or mentoring document control teams
* Strong knowledge of engineering and design documentation
* Hands-on experience with EDMS systems
* Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and communication skills
* Confident working with multiple stakeholders and project teams
