We are working with a well-established Building Services Consultancy seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team in a full-time permanent position within a flexible working environment.
The business delivers innovative and sustainable MEP design solutions across sectors including healthcare, education, residential, commercial, pharmaceutical, and public sector developments.
This role is ideal for an experienced Mechanical Building Services Engineer with strong HVAC design experience and a background within a UK consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead mechanical building services projects from concept through to completion
* Carry out and oversee HVAC and mechanical design calculations
* Produce specifications, technical reports, and engineering documentation
* Attend client, design team, and project coordination meetings
* Support and mentor junior engineers
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary MEP design teams
* Contribute to sustainable and low-carbon building design solutions
* Build and maintain strong client relationships
Experience & Qualifications
* Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
* Proven experience within a UK Building Services Consultancy
* Strong understanding of HVAC and mechanical building systems
* Chartered or working towards Chartership with CIBSE
* Experience using software such as Revit, Hevacomp, IES, Relux/Dialux, or Amtech
* Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, British Standards, and sustainable design principles
* Experience with BREEAM, renewable technologies, or low-carbon design is beneficial
* Strong communication and project coordination skills
