We are looking for a passionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Birmingham. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on helping children grow, learn, and shine, especially those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Day-to-day of the role:
* Support teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that spark curiosity and foster a love for learning.
* Provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, both one-to-one and in small groups.
* Help create a classroom environment where every child feels safe, seen, and supported.
* Assist with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and the creation of creative displays.
* Encourage independence, resilience, and a love of learning among students.
* Work closely with staff, families, and external professionals to support individual progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting.
2. Confidence in supporting children with SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech and language needs).
3. A calm, caring, and adaptable approach to challenges.
