Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the fabrication department.
* Plan, organize, and schedule production tasks to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
* Oversee the fabrication process from start to finish, ensuring quality standards are met.
* Monitor and optimize workflow, implementing process improvements where necessary.
* Manage a team of skilled fabricators, providing leadership and guidance to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
* Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills of the team.
* Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and procurement, to ensure smooth coordination and execution of projects.
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
* Monitor and control fabrication costs, utilizing resources efficiently to meet budget targets.
* Identify and implement measures to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance overall productivity.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Fabrication Manager or similar role in the manufacturing industry.
* Ability to draw in Auto Cad
* Experience with plasma cutters
* In-depth knowledge of fabrication processes, equipment, and materials.
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Proficient in reading technical drawings and interpreting specifications.
* Familiarity with quality control principles and ISO standards.
* Proven track record of meeting production targets and delivering high-quality results.
This is a full time position Monday to Thursday 8am 4.30pm, Friday 8am 3.30pm
Please be aware that hours may Vary depending on company needs.
Overtime available weekdays and weekends.
