Senior Regional Sales Director with Telco & Cloud experience


My client one of the worlds leading and innovative ICT companies is looking to recruit a Senior Regional Sales Director who has a proven and market leading telecoms and cloud background.


Suitable candidates would have worked for or closely alongside VMWare / Broadcom, Microsoft, Redhat, Windriver, Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Ericsson or Intel.


Your responsibilities;

* You will develop a ground-up sales strategy, creating specific sales plan for the region, with a clear path to achieving the OB and revenue targets.
* You will collaborate with region dedicated pre-sales/solution-engineering to help the business win business across Europe.
* You will develop, maintain and leverage partner and GTM relationships to create a multiplier for GTM.
* You will have a disciplined and transparent reporting ethos, with clear and timely reporting of the weekly sales activities and progress in the region.


Your skills & experience;

* You will have 15+ years of professional experience in leadership roles, consultative On-Premise Cloud software product Sales, Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) at scale (SAAS, PAAS). Experience in VMware, Redhat is a plus.
* Of this, at least last 5 years to be in-region experience specifically around sales for Cloud, Orchestration and Virtualisation / HCI sales in Telco / SP Market.
* You will have high level relationships (C level) within global telecoms operators to help get decisions, sign commercials deals and deliver project wins.
* Technical background along with Engineering Degree and have experience managing and growing cross-disciplinary organizations, including Sales, Pre-Sales and collaborating with Engineering, and Customer Success.
* You will be fluent in English, German or Spanish language skills would be advantageous.
* Suitable candidates will have a track record in the last 5 years of having closed multiple cloud software deals and played a pivotal role in closing the deals.
* Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills, you will be expected to represent the organization from time to time at Industry events and forums and must have the relevant skills to be a leading technology brand-ambassador.
