An exciting opportunity has arisen for a competent, confident, and enthusiastic Band 4 Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis (12 hours a week) for a fixed-term period of 12 months.
The post holder will work alongside an Occupational Therapist to provide evidence-based assessments and interventions as part of the Occupational Therapy Pathway within our multi-disciplinary team.
We are seeking someone passionate about making a difference by enabling children and young people to reach their potential. You will support children aged 0-19 years with therapy interventions in their homes, under supervision and guidance from our Occupational Therapist.
The post involves assisting in developing and delivering person-centered treatment and care plans under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, actively participating in assessment, planning, and therapeutic activities. Understanding the MDT process, assisting in Occupational Therapy reports, and participating in meetings are also required.
The Assistant Practitioner Occupational Therapist will be part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), contributing to providing seamless, needs-based care plans and managing their own caseload. They may support induction and training of new staff and students.
This role is developmental and may evolve based on service needs and individual skills. Not all duties are fixed and may change over time.
