Attributed Skills for a Regional Director – Reform UK Leadership & Strategic Thinking Ability to lead and inspire diverse teams Capacity to develop and implement regional strategies in line with national goals Political Acumen Strong understanding of UK political structures and electoral processes Insight into local and national political dynamics Campaign Management Proven experience in planning and executing political campaigns Ability to coordinate resources, messaging, and logistics effectively Volunteer Management Skilled in recruiting, motivating, and managing volunteers Experience dealing with varying personalities and levels of commitment Communication Skills Excellent written and verbal communication Confident public speaker and spokesperson for the party at local events Interpersonal Skills Ability to build strong relationships with branch officers, members, and the public Conflict resolution and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive or complex issues Organisational & Time Management Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong attention to detail and administrative competence Problem Solving & Decision Making Quick, sound judgement under pressure Capable of finding practical solutions to unexpected challenges Adaptability & Resilience Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing political environment Maintains composure and focus under stress Technological Proficiency Competent with digital tools (email, CRM systems, social media, campaign platforms) Willingness to learn and adapt to party systems like Reform Pro Additionally Regional Knowledge Deep understanding of the region, including its constituencies, demographics, and political concerns Established local networks or the ability to quickly develop them Commitment to Party Values Demonstrated alignment with Reform UK’s mission and values Willingness to act as a role model for party standards and behaviour Key Responsibilities Provide complete oversight and accountability for managing the regional branch network, ensuring adherence to the Branch Rules. Ensure that branches have access to the required IT infrastructure. Ensure that branches are confident using the IT infrastructure provided. Ensure that branches maintain up-to-date records of branch officers on Reform Pro. Ensure that branches are actively fundraising to support effective campaigning. Ensure branches are adhering to directives issued by Reform HQ. Ensure branches are monitoring for potential by-elections in their area. Ensure branch officers and activists attend any training sessions organised by HQ where required. Provide ongoing daily support to branch officers as and when requested. Ensure branches are operating in compliance with the Branch Rules. Ensure reporting from branch chairs is completed. Ensure all electoral registers are collected and up-to-date. Provide the National Director with regular reports on branch performance and progress. Promptly escalate any issues faced by the branch network to the National Director. Ensure branches and branch officers do not engage with requests from the press without prior approval from the HQ Press Team. Provide practical guidance on campaign literature, including correct imprints, and support for physical and digital campaign materials. Oversee and support the development of local campaign plans and coordinate the execution of national campaign projects and initiatives. Ensure branches are actively campaigning both during and outside of election periods. Ensure branches provide mutual aid to neighbouring branches where required. Ensure that branches are proactive in identifying and preparing candidates for upcoming local and national elections. Ensure every pending by-election has a suitable candidate selected in advance of nomination deadlines. Ensure that branches are fully prepared for the election nomination process. Ensure an adequate number of Delegated Nominating Officers (DNO’s) are in place to cover the region.
