Immediate Requirement: Carve-Out Controller (Interim)
Rate: Inside IR35 – £800/day (Negotiable)
Robert Half is partnering with a leading global client on a critical transformation: the carve-out and creation of a brand-new standalone business.
We are seeking an immediately available, highly experienced finance leader to step into a Controller role, responsible for designing, building, and executing the full finance infrastructure for the new entity.
This is a genuinely hands-on, execution-driven assignment — ideal for someone who thrives in high-pace, PE-backed environments and is confident standing up a finance function from day one.
Key Experience Required
* Private Equity exposure — understanding value creation, reporting expectations, operational rhythm, and scale-up dynamics
* End-to-end carve-out experience — ideally at £500m+ scale, including opening balance sheets, financial separation, and TSA management
* Building finance processes from scratch — P2P, O2C, R2R, controls, governance frameworks, month-end close, statutory accounts
* Finance systems set-up & implementation — ERP configuration, chart of accounts design, reporting structures, workflow and approvals
* Strong technical accounting knowledge — ability to deal with complex consolidations, revenue models, and carve-out adjustments
* Enterprise software / technology sector familiarity — subscription revenue, ARR/MRR, SaaS KPIs, deferred revenue, multi-entity structures
* Hands-on execution mindset — comfortable rolling up sleeves while also engaging with senior leadership
* Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement — sharp financial storytelling for both business leaders and PE sponsors
