Who you'll be supporting & more about the role: We are different in lots of ways (that's what makes us so interesting) with our ages ranging between 50s to late 60s. We all have different interests but also enjoy spent time together. We all have mobility needs but that does not stop us from having a good time. The staff team that support use are trained in Moving and positioning, medication, PEG's, Huntington's Disease and MAPA. This helps us to live our best lives possible. We love the cinema, theatre and going to concerts. We love tucking into some fish and chips on a Friday. We love arts and crafts and themed meal nights. We enjoy going out for pub lunches, restaurants, and cafes. We enjoy going to Dobies Gaden Centre and going on walks in the park. We enjoy holidays, short breaks, and day trips. We all love music and all of our tastes are very different. Us ladies in the service really enjoy retail therapy and manicures. We are looking for people who are passionate about supporting others and will help us to live the best life possible There are usually 3 people on shift at one time. This is so people can have their one to one time. Shifts vary from early (8am to 3pm), late (3pm to 9pm), long days (8am to 9pm), Sleeps (10pm to 8am) and night shift (9pm to 8am). All shifts work around the individuals at Parkside It is essential that you complete all your core training units and moving and positioning to work at Parkside.
