Berkeley-Scott: School/College/University Chef
We are currently recruiting an experienced and reliable Chef to work within a busy university catering environment. This role is ideal for a chef who enjoys working in a structured kitchen, preparing fresh meals for students, staff, and visitors while maintaining high food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparing and cooking fresh meals in a high-volume university kitchen
2. Supporting the kitchen team with daily food production
3. Ensuring all food hygiene and health & safety standards are met
4. Assisting with menu preparation and service for students and staff
5. Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
Requirements:
6. Previous experience working as a Chef in a professional kitchen
7. Ability to work efficiently in a busy catering environment
8. Strong knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety
9. A valid Enhanced DBS check is required for this role
10. Reliability and good teamwork skills
